I have a bit of a hard time with our good ol' LBA/Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure. The game works mighty fine, however I have a weird issue with the main menu - it takes a good two or three minutes pause before it shows up. At first I thought the game crashed, as no HDD/PC activity was during that time, but after those 2-3 minutes the menu showed up normally. This issue is present in both menus - at the beginning, and when I end the game by quitting. Anybody else noticed that? Any way to fix this?
I'm playing LBA using my olde PIII 1000MHz/Geforce 2 Ti/Yamaha SAx-OPL3 computer, on DOS 7.0.

It works great on my 486. I've never had this issue. What an amazing game though. Sorry can't help.

That's a weird one. What's your autoexec.bat and config.sys configuration?

Consider playing it on DOSBox. I'm an LBA fan too, although I'm more into the 2nd one, always feel like playing that game when it's raining outside 😀.
