I installed Ultima 8 on dosbox 0.60 and it was ok... The game runs fine, both graphics and audio.

Version 0.60, I'll try and find an alternate source for Ultima 8 and see if that makes any difference.
I figured out what the problem was. I was trying to install from the C drive. When installing from the A drive it works correctly! 😁
Um, Ultima VIII doesn't work for me under 0.60, and I tried many different settings (DOSBox config and Ultima VIII config).
let me think
dpmi=on
cpu cycles high
and skip the intro with esc.
for the next version: still skip intro but cpu cycles can be normal

Do i need to install from a disket driver ?
How i can do that ? Since the install is biiger than 10mb.
Thanks!
andreidaldegan, are you using DOSbox 0.65?

Yes im. Also, i had tryed on dos, and im getting the same error.
Im running on windows XP.
Thanks.
If I remember well there are two paths specified when you run install:
- where you are installing from
- where you are installing to
Check that they are correct. Even when you just configure sound, you must set them correctly (I think that both should point to the directory with the game).
If you do not have original floppies (but one big zip etc.), I think that you only need to unpack it into a directory of your choice and configure the sound as described above (remember the paths!).

I've tryed and also checked all this. I've downloaded an already installed version. I think it is not illegal, since i have the original cd.
Thanks anyway.
