Hi, just want to say thank you to the guys who made DosBox.
Finally PD runs on a Windows version (in DosBox that is). This is so great!
I think this is one of the hardest games to get to run outside a real mode DOS environment, and you made it possible.
It only runs in 256-bit color mode and you need to select GUS emulation, but then the game runs fine (except for some constant ticking sound besides the normal voices and music, but it is at least playable).
Strangely enough if you select SB emulation in DosBox and SB with the Setsound.exe program, then the game locks up at the intro of the Electronic Arts logo.
The gameplay is smooth enough. Only at fullscreen movie parts, there is some slowdown in drawing the screen.
(this is on an Dual Athlon MP1900 system with an ATI 9700 and cycles at 10000).
I didn't see this game listed on the DosBox homepage, so I thought I report it here.
Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.
Erik
