I notice that MS-DOS 3.3 outputs 0xFF to port 0x2F2 to 0x2F7. Anyone knows what it expects to be at those ports?

There's nothing mapped there on a normal machine. It's probably leftover debug code or something. PCem just leaves those ports as unmapped.
