I installed win95 and win98 se under Dosbox to test Need For Speed SE..

I can install and start the game, but when i start a race in normal mode the game crashed after a few seconds of driving.
In 3dfx mode it crashes right after when i see the other cars and racetrack (before the 3,2,1 go! )
In 3dfx mode even the Menu has Graphic errors.

Dosbox crash not, only the Game crashes me back to my virtual win95/98 Desktop.

When i set sbtype=none in Dosbox.conf then i can play with no Problems in Normal and 3dfx mode..
And the menu of the 3dfx version then works with no problems.

Is there a conflict with sb16 and other hardware ?

- from win95/win98 Need for Speed You can run directly.

p.s.
.. in common case, I sugest use XP.
