Hi

finally I have found time to continue building my P54CS Build currently consisting of:

Asus P/I-P55TVP4 Rev 1.5
Pentium 166MHz (P54CS, no MMX)
Diamond Viper V330 (Riva 128)
16MB SD-RAM
512k COAST
ST32122A (primary)
WDC AC2850F (secondary) 🤣 I just realized that this one has only 853MB
LITE-ON LTR-52327S CD-RW
Formosa SC1616 ESS AudioDrive ES1688F ISA Soundcard (might put that in some DOS gaming machine later due to the fabulous OPL3)

I like this system very much because it kind of reflects a boosted version of my first own new-bought PC I got when I was nine.
Unfortunately it is in a quite ugly case because it was the only spare one I had 🙁

And the ODIN RTC Battery is empty AND soldered, so I'll have to solder a socket to the mainboard and then replace the RTC. Does anyone know if the modern DALLAS DC12887+ modules are compatible to the ODINs? DC12887+ are rather cheap and easy to get where I live (brand new ones).

You mean Viper V330. Had one of those and loved it!

Heya, I've replaced the box in this thread with my new build:
New Pentium 166 P54CS Rig

mainly because of the soldered RTC on the Asus board and the GA-586ATS in my new P54CS build as well as all other components just worked perfectly from the first moment. The case is also nicer so I decided to ditch this build.
