Does anyone know the technical details of the issue of the nForce3 AGP GART being broken with NT6 and a dual core CPU? Was it not reasonably possible to work around the problem?

I have seen some info around the web that people got it working to some degree by using the XP driver on Vista...

From what I've read, even the XP drivers required disabling multicore. I'd love to be wrong and run Win7 on my SN95G5, but I didn't get a dual core CPU just to disable a core. I did try disabling multicore to see if I could get AGP to work, but it's always running in PCI mode on Win7 no matter what I tried.
