I have got one bulky Samsung SyncMaster 957 monitor that works and it has quite visible scanlines MCGA graphic mode (320x200). I have also some LCD monitors with max. resolution 1280x1024 pixels.

Is it possible to get some scanline generator device that would add scanlines to the pictures when using LCD screens? CRT monitors are quite big and I don't have enough room for them.

There's also the SLG3000 - in my experience it works nicely at 480p or 600p (there's a switch on the device to select between these two modes). I have limited experiences with this kind of device though so it's possible there might be something better out there

The problem (I think) is that the scanlines from a scanline generator will only look correct at a couple of resolutions (else the scanlines won't line up properly) - whereas old games ran in a bunch of different resolutions.

I use my SLG thru a scaler that outputs VGA for older consoles.
