Neither Sega Rally 2 or Sentinel Returns play CD music in Windows XP, which is a shame as it enhances the gameplay of both games. Any idea why?

I've tried analogue and digital playback options on my CD-ROM drive but it makes no difference. The CD simply doesn't spin up - no light comes on.

I'm thinking maybe some games called the CD audio in a "weird" way that doesn't work on WinXP...

Oh yeah I got ASPI layer thing installed too as I needed it for Sega Mega CD emulation, but that didn't cause a conflict on my old Win98 PC.

what's supadex? if you mean sapucdex then the two games I've mentioned are Windows titles and I think sapucdex is just for DOS games that need MSCDEX?
