Hey guys I'm having a strange problem and I'm not sure if it's something I did or something windows 10 is somehow doing.

My config is that I'm running an SC55-mkII chained to an MT32 through a midisport 2x2.

What happens is when I try to play through the SC55 I'm getting the MS synth instead. The MT32 works just fine but when I change the mixer over into the output for the SC55 I get the MS synth instead. I have no idea how this is occurring. I went in and checked with mixer /listmidi and I'm pointing at the midisport. I can see from the SC55 display that is receiving the midi signals and out putting but I don't hear its sound.

Is there anyone who knows how this may have happened? I could really use some direction on resolving this. This same setup worked previously...

What's freaking me out is how the volume of the MS synth is being controlled by my mixing board volume settings but the SC55 is nowhere to be heard.

Just a little 4 channel mixer...

I feel like a dummy though, it appears that the midi out from my midisport to the in of the SC55 wasn't quite connected all the way.

I still can't figure out how the system was able to route the internal MS wavetable from the PC through USB to the midiman and have the channel the SC55 was plugged into on my mixer control the volume of it all the while it was outputting through the audio cables of the MT32.

My mind is blown.

Just to confirm my understanding, can you mute all sound output by muting the channel for your PC? Can you confirm if the synth module is not outputting sound by swapping channels on the mixer to one that is tested good?

Also, have you looked at completely disabling the MS synth?

Sorry got it figured out as said above, just don't understand how it worked like that in the first place.
