Hi folks,
Been reading through this thread on k6plus.com http://www.k6plus.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f= … =1752&start=150
And am wondering if this might be a far better chipset for super7 than I thought?
I have a ACER Labs V75M from a IBM Aptiva BIOS date 8/24/1999, it has a K4-2 450 MHz CPU, i use it almost daily as a DVD player with a Creative labs DXR-2 DVD decoder card with the on-board video(6326) and sound(ESS Solo1). Also use it as a basic web browser with retrozilla, but never even considered it as a performance chip set, even with a K6-2. The folk in this thread seem to have gotten fantastic performance from this thing! Any of you folks have experience with this chipset?
I have a earlier SiS chipset(ECS P5SD-AS VER 1.oA\ SiS 5591/5595)motherboard that utterly flies with Cyrix 6x86MX/MII CPU's but is only average with AMD K6.
