Hi,

I just downloaded DOSBox 0.74. If my Xbox One USB controller is plugged when I start it, it immediately hangs and I have to kill it. It does detect and report a 4-axis joystick in the console though. If I unplug the joypad, DOSBox runs fine.

My machine is running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

I attached a screenshot of the console to this post.

Franz

Hi Franz:
Try changing joysticktype variable in dosbox.conf
Good Luck

I tried joysticktype=2axis and joysticktype=4axis but no luck, it still hangs at startup, although it does report the correct joystick in the console now:

Using joystick Controller (Xbox One For Windows) with 5 axes, 10 buttons and 1 hat(s)

With the default value (joysticktype=auto) it only says:

One joystick reported, initializing with 4axis

Try timed=false
Is the controller calibrated?

Maximum is 4 axes and 4 buttons.
