Lets say 200MHz with 256 or 512mb ram..... But what about if used with 1gb ram?

I tried Windows 2000 with my Intel PR440FX system and it worked perfectly fine.

If you use an old period correct HDD that will slow it down somehat but if you use a newer faster ~40GB drive it will run very well with 256MB memory and even better with 512MB.

New PC: i9 12900K @5GHz all cores @1.2v. MSI PRO Z690-A. 32GB DDR4 3600 CL14. 3070Ti.
Old PC: Dual Xeon X5690@4.6GHz, EVGA SR-2, 48GB DDR3R@2000MHz, Intel X25-M. GTX 980ti.
Older PC: K6-3+ 400@600MHz, PC-Chips M577, 256MB SDRAM, AWE64, Voodoo Banshee.

I bet even a 430HX Pentium MMX 233MHz with 512MB ram still couldn’t compete well with the Pentium Pro due to the older p5 architecture? Right?

I think it depends on what you do. When it comes to some tasks they are equal, but the Pentium Pro will be faster in most tasks. The Pentium MMX will be alot faster when stuff use MMX.
