Hey guys:

Quick question. Any reason why analog output for audio CD tracks is mono only? I'm trying to play DOS games and music seems to only come out of the left speaker... Yet digital audio outputs perfectly fine in stereo. How can this be?

I have a Sony IDE DVD drive, with an analog audio CD cable plugged in from the device to a Sound Blaster AWE64.

Any advice is appreciated.

I only rely on 86box these days. My Pentium 3 PC died. 🙁

Assuming mixer balance is correct, I've seen at least two different pinouts at the sound card end... LGGR and LGRG. Perhaps you need to rearrange the contacts in the sound card connector, easily done with a pin or small screwdriver.

I'm not sure I follow. I thought the pins are soldered to the connector? Not sure how I move it around.

Never mind. It appears to have been a bad cable. I get full stereo now. 😀
