Hiya guy's i know its not quiet related to the forum here but i hope atleast some of you can shine some light about my situation, ive downloaded this D64 file collection once a while back and most of the directories on it are lettor sorted, when i try to copy or just rename a folder of the collection, explore.exe restart's, i frogot to note its the latest windows im doing it from.

Did you scan this file collection for viruses? Try booting into Safe Mode and see if it does the same there.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

Scandisk you're hard drive's to correct you're file allocation table's
If that fail's you can deltree the folder's from dos prompt's
You could try using winfile aka file manager's a carry over from Window's 3.11 For Workgroup's to delete the folder's

Sorry, I wasn't familiar with the .D64 file extension and you didn't say which version of Windows.

leileilol gives good advice. You can still boot to Safe Mode and try the copy/rename process from there. Also check Event Viewer to see if there are any clues when Explorer crashes.

Not a problem, theyre disk image dump's of commodore 64 game's.
