Adding a RAM slot?

I'm looking at a motherboard on ebay. The PCB was provisioned with space for 3 RAM slots. However, only 2 were installed. All the required components appear to be there.

The motherboards chipset does support up to 1.5GBs allowing a 3x512MB setup.

With the right tools would this be possible? Also, does anyone recommend a good solder sucker device?

What's the board/chipset?

I've got a board that can feature either 440BX or 440ZX chip set depending on the version. The latter only supports 2 RAM slots, so in case of ZX the third slot is missing.

How much of this type of modding do you plan on performing? Equipment runs from something as simple as a roll of solder braid to solder suckers, cheap Chinese desoldering irons to quality Hakko and Pace gear. Your investment in hardware directly translates into speed of operation and duty cycle. That investment doesn't necessarily come cheap, though ($1k+ for a Pace rework station).
