I was cleaning up/sorting my cables (yes...I am one of those people who orders everything...) and I found this weird IDE (?) cable. The middle connector is smaller (floppy size) and 6 cables in the flat cable run past it:

Any thoughts?

Probably a random data cable for some random interface.
You know... IDC connector headers and flat cables are used for more things that just Floppy and IDE interface connectors.
