Hey all.

I purchased this Wang Labs 8-Bit ISA card ages ago and have only just gotten around to checking it out (mainly due to not having access to the rest of my... *looks around at the mess that is the study* equipment until now).

Like all things Wang Labs, I cannot seem to find much in the way of documentation regarding their PC compatible hardware. My first PC I ever played with was a PC-260 (286 running MS-DOS 5.00) when I was 9 years old so I have a weird fascination with the Wang. har har.

Now thats over with, we can be serious.

I cannot seem to find anything on this graphics card. Stason doesn't know anything about it, unfortunately, and google just has old articles about the PC-240 which it came from.

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find technical specs for this card, preferably something that can at least detail what each connection does and the dip switch on the backplane. Below is a few more pics...

I appreciate *anything* anyone can find. This old stuff has fascinated me ever since I first saw the Space Quest 1 EGA intro start up for the first time those many years ago...

Edit: I will note that it is based on the Paradise PEGA1A EGA chipset...

Keep that wang at a distance from fire. Delicate stuff. 😁

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

Did you even find anything about this card?
My car is off,ON, off, off, off, off

Works fine, tried it with my IBM 5150 and a EGA monitor, I see colors. I do see CGA colors tho, so I am wondering if mine is configured for CGA mode, if that was a thing for this card, I'd imagine it can do CGA

I think page 100 has the switch setup, http://www.bitsavers.org/pdf/wang/pc/742-1808 … ce_19881111.pdf

Should be monochrome based on your dips, my configuration is not there tho
