I'm having a problem with Pinball Dreams 2 on a Toshiba 310CDT laptop. The problem is that I get no sound in game regardless of my choice of sound card in SETSOUND utility. The only time I get sound is when I select PC Speaker and then it's quite bad with lots of hiss in the background and crackling noise. Any ideas?

Just tested PD2 on a 486 with properly configured sound card and it works fine. Now I need to find out how to configure sound on this Toshiba.

Solved it after about an hour of fiddling. Downloaded the drivers here: http://www.yamaha.co.jp/english/product/lsi/download/

You basically have to DL Windows 3.x drivers since DOS drivers are bundled with them. Then you run a special config utility which sets everything up and save. After a reboot everything should work 😀
