Dear All,

I will be moving to the Philippines in the next two months from Europe and I am about to pack. Do any of you know how is the retro-computing scene in Manila, are old hardware items easy to come by? I would much rather not move my entire collection of 486s and sound cards to the other side of the globe - although I recently purchased an old Pentium laptop for this reason. (I am mainly asking because having spent time in Indonesia, I found there was almost nothing (left) from the time period I am interested in, late 80s-early 90s.)

On this topic - but not so much vogons - anyone have informations on used laserdiscs over there being as big as elsewhere in SEA?

Thank you all in advance.

No idea. I did see a RAP-10 listed in PH years ago.

Very few LDs on Craigslist / eBay / Locanto.

3rd world country so big gap with SG / MY / HK / KR / JP.

Nicest people in APAC though. Have fun!

Surely if I can move all my crap with me to China, you can bring at least one 486 to the Philippines. At the very least, keep the critical parts.
