Today I've got my new purchase shipped. It's Ensoniq Soundscape Elite (rev. D) which I made to buy locally for about 10$ equiv. shipped.
The card itself is in amazingly good visual condition. Some pins were initially bent, but I have straightened them carefully. After I have cleaned it with cologne it barely shows any scratches on the PCB. There are no broken traces for sure.
There is some problem, though, that I was aware of buying the card - two capacitators are missing (C89 and C100). These are just regular SMD 10 16V caps, so I will get them replaced.
I have tested the card and it works fine on one channel. Both Midi and effects are crystal clear. The other channel is dead.
My question is: do you think that this problem is related to those caps missing, or there are some other spots I should think of repairing it? (I will take it to professional electronics service).
I am very happy, as this card seems pretty rare these days. I did not planned to get it, but it was a steal...
Sorry for bad photo (I shattered my phone yesterday and I'm stuck with lousy Iphone 4 camera).
