I recently found a copy of Star Trek: Final Unity, a game I've wanted to play for years and years. It was an ISO. I used PowerISO to unpack it and then DosBox to launch the installer. Its an old MS DOS installer, and it does a sys req check before it starts. Here is where it tells me that my CD ROM speed isn't fast enough to play this game. My computer doesn't have a CDROM drive altogether. Anyone know a potential work around for this problem?

Apparently just decreasing the number of cycles will solve the CDROM check. (That's according to http://www.dosgames.com/forum/about4828.html , but keep in mind that thread is eleven years old and most of it probably no longer applies.)
