This Is my first time installing the "Ultimate" edition before and I thought i'd type in the error message in case it dissapears cause for some reason zorin won't let you "print screen" when you select items in the taskbar. So I have to type this out:

An error occurred, please run Package Manager from the right-click menu or apt-get in a terminal to see what is wrong. The error message was: ' Unknown Error: '<class 'KeyError'>' ("The cache has no package named 'steam'")'. This usually means that your installed packages have unmet dependencies.

How am I to install Steam correctly so this error message goes away? Fortunatly the message re-appeared after re-booting the system. Oh and btw, Zorin 9 Ultimate 64-bit is the LTS version. Did they drop support for certain packages? This version is supposed to be supported until 2019 though...

Also how do I update Firefox on Zorin? I only have Firefox 31. I need the latest verson. I downloaded the tar archive from Firefox's website but now I don't know how to use the file.

If you type in teminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install steam

Do you get any errors that might be more useful?

EDIT: On the firefox issue

sudo apt-get upgrade firefox

or just

sudo apt-get upgrade

, which updates all the programs you have

Hmm, Zorin OS 9 does base on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS so default software base is few years old. Software does get bug fixes and security fixes, but normally no new versions. You'd have to add some extra software repositories to the software manager, but I don't know how it is done in Zorin (I've only used Ubuntu and Mint so it should be reasonably similar). I bet next Zorin OS will base on 16.04 LTS so it will have newer versions.

Since you bought the Ultimate edition, you are entitled to customer support, so just contact them and let them solve the problem.
