Hey guys. I apologize if this post is not in the propper thread in advanced. I just thought that *MAYBE* this would be interesting to a developer if it presents an oppurtunity for the xbox one. I watched a video of someone who ported dosbox to xbox one, has an xbox that they paid to be in developer mode (I have not), and installed windows 95 on it. I mention this because I would like to install windows 95 on my xbox as well (I have a copy of the OS).

While playing around on the internet, I came across a site that has over 2,000 msdos games that are free to play through the internet browser using dosbox (web site link at the bottom). I went to the site through my xbox 1 and am able to play most of the titles that I tried (you definitely want to connect your keyboard for this). Along with being able to play most of the titles, I am able to exit the game and use the dosbox command prompt like I can on my pc.
*For a more dos feel, just zoom into the screen before the cursor is disabled.

I just started going to school for programming, and do not have much knowledge yet that I can use. So, what is this? Is dosbox in the temporary folder, along with the game that you start it with using this website? Is there a way for me to explore my files on the xbox 1 using dosbox from the internet browser? I do not know any of my drive letters in the xbox 1.

for those of you that do not know how to get a keyboard to work on xbox1, you have to either hold down the power button on the console for maybe ten seconds, connect the keyboard, then power it back on. Or just turn it off, unplug it, connect the keyboard and power it back on. It has to be connected during start up to be used. I still have not figured out how to get the mouse to work yet, but that's a lot less important to me.

No one here will tell you that running Windows 95 in DOSBox is a good idea.

Yes, you are hardly the first person to find archive.org.

If I'm not mistaken, it is using an unofficial Javascript version of DOSBox that runs entirely within your browser. There is no way to use it to access anything on your XBox. (That would be a serious security problem.)
