Hiding in a desk. A3D? Neat. (Though I'm pretty sure it's a pedestrian ESS chipset, leading me to believe it's purely in software.) The "3D" is just a SiS5598, sad!

I swear I must have some of my first computing boxes around. I ironically first started with retro computing where I had an Athlon XP+ system, 486 SX 25 system, and a G3 PPC system (I still have all but the SX-25)
My first modern computer was a dual core A4 FM1 chip which is still in use somewhere in the house, probably in a machine used by my dad somewhere for some reason.

That's pretty cool.

Oldest hardware receipt I have is from 1985. Got a Mockingboard for my Apple IIe (at the time one of the most advanced music peripherals for any personal computer). 😎

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.

Still got the original box our DX2/66 from 1995 with books or something in it.
Had a few sales pamphlet 's for the same company but must of thrown them out round 2005, was disappointed when I last looked for them. Remember they were advertising the new Pentium!

The label reads "Yamaha XG 128 voice synth" so I'm thinking it had a yamaha 724 PCI sound card?

In any case, it's a cool setup for the time 😀
