Rainbow Six v1.04 (CD) + Eagle Watch v1.50 (CD) + "hotfix missing soundfiles" from The Patches Scrolls / Win 8.1, Radeon HD 5770

Startup crash. 😵

I've just tried a fresh install of it (1.03 according to its readme) through dgVoodoo WIP30 and it seems to work perfectly (Win10) (but I'll try it with an updated game version too).
If resolution is forced then an ISF one must be used or you get some unwanted blur (corrupting background) under the mouse cursor in the main menu.

Natively it doesn't work, I got the same log and error message (failing to set screen mode 640x480).

Update: installed Eagle Watch v1.50 (it's true that) on top of R6 1.03. It still works. (Patching to 1.04 always aborts for me)

I've found the culprit - messed up registry entries. How did it happen? Maybe during Eagle Watch patching. Anyway, the game is working fine now. 😀

BTW, have you had a chance to check Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear? Its fonts are looking fine now (WIP30). Two issues remaining: kicking out of full screen mode and not so great framerate (CPU heavy).
