The goal here was to recreate the system that got me through late high school and college.
The original system was: Intel D815EEA2-U, 1200mhz P3,512MB RAM, Voodoo5, SB Live. I'm going for a different video setup with the new build, but otherwise it will be very much the same.
Games intended to be played: Starseige Tribes, Quake 3, UT99, Star Trek Bridge Commander, Elite Force 1 & 2, and a mix of some older mid 90's DOS games.
Start with a new HEC desktop style case and Antec power supply:
Add a NOS Intel D815EEA2-U motherboard...
a Teac DVD drive and NEC floppy...
Evercool CPU cooler was a tight fit.
A Radeon 7500 64MB takes the place of the Voodoo5 and a compact flash card for running Linux.
AMD386/IIT387DX40, 32MB, ATi Mach64, AWE64
Compaq Prolinea 4/33, 32MB, Tseng ET4000, PAS
AMD X5, 64MB, S3 Virge/Voodoo1, AWE64
AMD K62+550, 256MB, Voodoo3, AWE64 Gold
P3 1.2Ghz, 512MB, Radeon 7500/Voodoo2 SLI, SB Live!
