For those of you that thinks that Visual C++ 6 is easier to use but
still finds problems compiling Dosbox from cvs i've uploaded a little
zip that contains all you need to easily build it.
All you have to do is:
1) download latest CVS from:
http://pcnwstage.phys.rug.nl/dosboxcvs.tgz
2) download my patch:
http://www.geocities.com/q_engine/dosbox-cvs-vc6ready.zip
3) decompress the CVS and then decompress the patch into
the same directory (click "yes to all" when it asks to overwrite)
4) run "dosbox.dsw" located in dosbox\visualc\
5) select "Win32 release" for release build from the upper menu
6) press F7
After a while you'llhave your dosbox.exe into release dir.
Still problems?
1) maybe you need vc6 service pack:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/downloads/u … ad/default.aspx
2) maybe you also need vc6 processor pack:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/downloads/t … ck/download.asp
WARNING : This patch is still a "work in progress" and may contain errors;
don't use it if you are unsure of what you're doing!
