1) Why can't I get any other option than "[8088] Generic XT clone" in the configuration? I tried populating some of the rom directories, and manually editing the .cfg file but nothing happened.

2) When booting the emulator as Generic XT clone, why doesn't any keyboard input work? I can get to a DOS prompt, but can't type anything at all.

Hi bakemono. Which version of PCem and what kind of Operating System are you using ?
Things may changed quite a few times between the releases of PCem.
Perhaps your rom files need to be renamed or have to be merged/split to make them working with your version of PCem.

I tried a few versions. V9, V11, V13.1 on Windows. Does it do a checksum on the roms and then magically work if the expected files are there, fail silently otherwise?
