Hi there, I just spent literally the entire night trying to get the Compaq Diagnostics and Setup floppy image on a 720kb floppy for my Compaq Portable 286 (286, not II) and my problem is that I only have a laptop, no PC tower, and windows 7 64-bit so I have to rely on a usb floppy disk drive and so far I've failed to write the floppy image to a real floppy because the thing is a self-extractor and the extracted content is compressed and can't be read by winimage, and for some reason my floppy disk drive just won't behave with virtualbox and virtual PC so I was wondering if somebody could make a .img floppy disk image out of the 720kb self-extracting file so that I can get my portable up and running? You'd do me a big favor!
