Yes, I'm *very* happy now.
I registered Glidos a goodly time ago (last year) and thought it excellent.
Only recently have I come back to it again (a new addition to my family causing the pause). I sat down and thought I really ought to crack the Windows XP probems.
Well, I needn't have worried because the new (to me anyway) TRInst file does the trick splendidly!! 100%/Top Marks/Jolly Good Show!! And last but not least - Thankyou!!.
I also got to grips with VDM Sound and the new Hi-Res texture packs from Resonant Edge.
All in all this game from 1996 is back up there on my favourites again (not that TR ever went away really) Hi-Res, great sound and smooth action at 1024x768 (well except when the texture packs are running when it's a bit jerky!). Marvellous stuff though!
Only down side to all this - and it's not Glidos's fault - is that my CPU temperature warning in MBM is constantly going off at 70-degrees while playing!! When the alarm pops up it jiggers the controls and I have to Alt-Tab to regain control.
Never mind, this is just my old P4 1.7 showing it's age. I plan on reinstalling on my other PC (a 2.8ghz CPU and better graphics) but expect I'll need another registration key. Oh well. It's worth it!!!
