Hi, 😀
I already searched for some posts relating or solving this problem, but I didn't find any. Tie Fighter keeps complaining about the "set FILES = 30" line in my config.sys. Is there any way to submit DOSbox values for my (emulated) config.sys, or another way to get this game started?

Try creating a bogus config.sys file in the root folder of your mounted hard-drive and put a files=30 statement there.

This problem happened to me; it turned out my installation of tie fighter was bunged.

Check under your main tie fighter directory (e.g., c:\tie) -- there should be a bunch of subdirectories. If not, then this is your problem.
