Does anyone know anything about this sound card please?

The attachment mw-full--50.JPG is no longer available

It uses these chips:

I checked Vogons user Gerwin's ISA sound card TXT file, but I couldn't spot it there.

I think it's a MediaVision card, and has a Yamaha OPL3 chip, and a Crystal Codec.

Thanks a lot for any info! 😀

Ok, guessing is was sold by Multiwave.

Closest part number I could find is MW-0203121:

And the archived downloads page for said range of cards:

Wow, thanks a lot, that's terrific! 😀

I wonder which exact model the card is? Do you know what AISP means?

The models listed on that wayback page are:

AudioWave Platinum 16
AudioWave AWE 32 (Platinum 16 + 32 Wavetable)
AudioWave 16 AISP PRO
AudioWave 16 AISP

I'm guessing it's not the AWE 32.
Thanks.

I'm guessing it's the AudioWave 16 AISP model, because the stason webpage shows additional CD-ROM connectors for the platinum version. I'm also guessing that the PRO version might be for the SCSI version, and I have the IDE version?

What do the MVD and CS chips do? What is their role? Thanks a lot.

This is not AudioWave 16 AISP, it looks different and has no Jazz chipset.

Alternatively, it may be a much later version, as it states "ver. 1.11" vs "ver 1.3" on the card that is verified to be AudioWave 16 AISP.

There was an eBay auction with the same Jazz-based card claimed to be 16 AISP, only a tiny picture remains of it now.

Also take into account the 1.3 version depicted has a Sony CD as opposed to an IDE one on the 1.11 version card.
