I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite 225CDS, I bought it months ago, should I sent it to a repair shop for its battery repair?

The battery mode whenever the plug is off the laptop, it is not working, it automatically shuts down whenever the plug is off. I bought a new battery however the problem of shut down still exists. What is causing the laptop to shut down? Is this problem repairable?

I have sent to a repair shop, thankfully, it works. However, the floppy disk of the Toshiba laptop has a problem. As the CD-ROM and the floppy drive can be switch and change in the laptop.
