So, I have a Solo1 installed in my Celeron 466 system. The mother board is OEM HP Asus MEB-VM with the 440BX chipset. I started playing Command & Conquer for the first time tonight while running Windows ME. Game plas perfect but while audio is playing I keep hearing a tick tick tick or pop pop pop type noise. While no audio is playing, I hear low hum and static type sounds. I am listening with a turtle Beach headset plugged in to the Speaker port. Any suggestions?

I had a ticking problem with my sound card a while back but the reason was that my power supply was about to fail. The power supply stopped working couple days later and I had to get a new one and that that ticking was gone.
