Hi !

Recently I've gotten a mainboard like this:

it's the same board that open this thread: Kixs's 286 to the Max

The board is not working properly. I compared the two pictures and I realize it's missing a chip in the right corner. I think it's a clock generator.

Where can I get that chip? and a socket for that?

Any other sugesstions are welcome..

Regards

Crystal oscillator for 25MHz operation (my board wasn't too happy running at 25MHz):

for 20MHz operation:

The missing chip is the i287 Math Coprocessor. It's not essential to have one installed.

Thanks a lot kixs

one more question: do you know what kind of socket use those chips?
