I have noticed that within this hobby, information on hardware is very fragmented across websites. It's out there most of the time, but not very readily available. I was thinking about building a website that you could search up an unknown card by various factors (brand, model, FCC ID, size, etc...) and get everything in one place. Things like real photos of the card, jumper/connector diagrams, driver and manual links, pinouts, system requirements, installation instructions specific to the piece of hardware, different versions, etc. I know it would be a massive undertaking, but It would make this information a whole lot more accessible.
Is this something that anyone else here would contribute to, even if it is just providing pictures of your own cards and motherboards, or providing any knowledge that may not be easily available on the web yet?
I was thinking of setting up a kind of wiki type page that users could submit information about hardware that is missing or incomplete and it would get reviewed and added by either me or an administrator.
ideas or suggestions welcome.
