Hello
Searching for a laptop cd and\or dvd drive which is 9.5mm thick and has a standard JAE-50(="Slim IDE") connector.
- Usually they are 12.7mm thick.
- Thinkpads'=T60,T61..."Ultrabay Slim"-drives like UJ-862 are no good because yes it is 9.5mm thick but it has a custom security connector which is not JAE-50 but similar.

Apple Macbook has one but it is slot-load and no bezel:
- UJ-857, UJ-867.

These are maybe: ( Got to look more...)
- UJ-842.
- GSA-4083N.

Also laptop's model might be more important than drive's code when searching.
- If anyone has a huge lot of laptop optical drives around to check.

Maybe do a web / eBay search for 'DVDRWTRAYIDE95' (OSST-branded?)

Searched whole day these seem plausible ?

I think you've listed them all pretty well there.

I have a couple, you want to look at early PCIe era laptops. The Sony Vaio SZ series all had them, I think the UJ-852, but they had quite a non-standard bezel.
I removed one from an unrepairable vaio TX laptop the other day. That's also 9.5mm height, tray load with a bezel, but it's very thin and has no top cover / frame. That's the UJ 822.
The GSA-U10N is a good choice, the thin HP laptops from back then had them and I've got one here with a fairly standard bezel on it. That should be the HP Compaq 2510p

thats just a normal laptop IDE connector.

I came to a conclusion these 9.5mm JAE-50(IDE) are used in laptops manufactured only around 2005-2008.
Pre -2005 is 12.7mm IDE and after around 2008+ is 9.5mm SATA.
