It's been a while since I posted here, but in the meantime I've been going through some of my old stuff.
First off, I upgraded my Netvista 6578 a bit. Not much, but hey, it's an upgrade over the P3 it had (the EPoX EP-3VCM build)
New specs:
Fortron FSP250-50HA PSU - this came from a fried NEC TFX PC (dead SuperIO chip)
Gigabyte G41M-Combo mobo (DDR2+DDR3, so easier to change RAM if I want)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 LGA775
NEC DVD-RW PATA (white)
Gainward GT630 1GB GDDR5 128bit
Western Digital WD1600AVJS 160GB SATA2 HDD
Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC
and of course, the IBM Netvista 6578 shell 😎
As for the 650MHz build, these are the parts. I've yet to decide on a case, as I don't want something modern, aiming for a classic look, so it's going TBD.
P&O LC-B400ATX PSU (250W actually, at least I restored it myself)
Soyo SY-6BA+IV
Intel Pentium 3 650MHz Slot 1 (SL3XK)
Hitachi-LG DVD-RW (reads better than period correct drives)
20GB Maxtor HDD + 2x40GB on HPT366
not sure about the GPU, gotta decide between V3 3000 and a GF2 Pro
Windows ME Beta1 build 2394
Case to be decided
