Hi, i have seen old toshiba satellite notebooks from pentium era and they used a connector for external cd-rom and external floppy drive.

I have also seen a connector very similar to that one on old IBM thinkpad notebooks.

So i was wondering if they share the same port, or each company used its own connector. And if anyone ever tried to use an external floppy drive from an IBM on a toshiba.
