So I unearthed a USB Sound Blaster Extigy but can't for the life of me find the CD it came with. The only drivers on creatives website for it are update files that say they require previous drivers. I've even tried going as far as checking torrent websites, where I did come across a few ISOs but nobody is sharing them. So far I've only managed to get it somewhat working as a generic audio device under windows xp 32-bit but I can't control anything with the remote / enable EAX.

If anybody has this, please upload it / share it with vogons drivers!!

Sup. I like computers. Are you a computer?

I've just seen RETRO Hardware on YouTube holding his Extigy driver CD in front of the camera and was immediately reminded of this thread. So he has one! 🤣

I've commented on the video. Maybe he is kind enough to upload this thing somewhere.

The link above no longer works.

Any pointers to the Windows 98 drivers as they dont seem to be on the Creative Labs site any more either.

Since 2019 someone have graciously uploaded the CD to archive.org

Links to update files are in the comment.

Thank you very much. Thats a real help.

I have just remembered why I stopped buying used Creative products. They must be the only company I know of that actually requires you to have the driver CD (or ISO of it) to install their software.

Anyway, I really appreciate it.
