I work next pc recycling center. So everyday before work i dig through the video card, and sound card bins. Untested agp cards go for 3$, sound card $1, creative sound card 5$, untested Mobo 5$, tested 10$. So I've amassed a decent collection over the last two years
Pentium 200 MHz (can go slower with jumpers) in some Packard bell no agp
Pentium III coppermine 1ghz or Pentium iii 450 mhz in Dell dimension xps t450 440bx
Pentium III s 1.4ghz in Sony pcv-r553ds i815ep ( this is my favorite pc as far as looks go. Limited to 159 watt PSU)
Pentium 4 2.4ghz Northwood in Asus p4s533-vx sis 651 universal agp
Athlon xp 3000+ Abit va-20 via km400a
Athlon xp 2800+ k7s5a pro sis 735 universal agp
Pentium 4 641 3.2 ghzAsus p5p800 865pe
Opteron 252 2.6 GHz dual core Asus sk8v VIA K8T800 all of these have win 98 support.
Sound cards
Aureal vortex 2 , 2 available.
Hercules game theatre xp
Turtle beach santa Cruz
Creative live 5.1
Ensoniq Soundscape OPUS Isa

Every GeForce 4 I've found is dead.

Those are the highlights of my collection besides some fancy ocz ddr ram kits.
I was poor growing up so missed out on dos completely. I'd like to get a dos system running.
Ideal win98 se system?
And a dual boot 98/xp early xp/ overpowered 98se.
I'm just having a rough time narrowing down on final configurations. As far as dos is concerned I know nothing. The Sony pictured PSU is only 159 watts and is also the only exhaust and is odd shape so I don't think replacing is a option. I have a matching Sony monitor so can't let it go. So with what I have what would some of you recommend for my projects?

Going off what looks to be your 3 already complete systems I'd do something like the below

Pentium 200 MHz (can go slower with jumpers) in some Packard bell no agp
Good Dos PC. AGP not required.
Your only 2 PCI graphics cards were the TNT or Voodoo3, both are fine. The TNT has good dos compatibility and the system wont push it. The Voodoo is bit of a waste but will let you play glide games.
As its the only ISA soundcard on your list go with the Ensoniq Soundscape OPUS Isa

Dell dimension xps t450 440bx
Awesome Dos/Win9x dual boot. This is your D3D / A3D rig
Graphics, Fx 5900 ultra, Good dos and Win9x compatability
Sound: Vortex2, good dos support and A3d 2.0 for Win9x
You have the benefit of a ISA slot for a 2nd sound card for dos if wanted.

Win98 /Early XP build This is your Glide/EAX rig
Graphics Voodoo 5, (same not to use it)
Sound: Audigy 2 ZS, last Creative card for WIn9x and supports later EAX versions for XP.

The final 2 PC's are pretty close, you could skip 2 if you wanted.

Thanks for reply. I'm going to try these configs out. Do you think the voodoo 5 be okay with 159 watt psu?
