So ... I bought a dreamblaster S2 for on the wavetable header of my ESS1868 soundcard. Ordered it 2 days ago and it arrived today already, I live in Belgium and it's made(?) and sold here so no surprises there.

So I plugged it on my card, card in the machine, ran the configuration of my soundcard and let's try. I installed Ultimate Doom that has "wavetable" option so I chose that one and ................ nothing.

So I am overlooking something I guess ?

You need to use ESSVOL to set the volume of Aux B to something higher than 0. 😉

AH! Magic!

I would have never guessed that had anything to do with the wavetable while there's a volume setting for "Wave Volume" and "Synthesizer Volume" .

Wave volume is PCM SFX. Synthesizer volume is ESFM.
