When replacing electrolytic capacitors, do they need to be the same voltage rating? Can I use 50V caps in place of 35V caps?

Also, which is better, Panasonic FR or Rubycon XYF? Replacing caps on a Hercules GB101 when I know what is OK.

I would use Rubycon XYF caps, worked for me. As long as the voltage is bigger than the original cap, you are good.

Great, thanks. I have both, but have more of the Rubycon in this capacity. Hope my solder sucker arrives today, so I can get on with the job (not that I have a monochrome monitor to test it on yet)
