yeah it quits with a CPU:GPR5 error, full core comes up with Illegal opcode as well.
Strange, civ works fine for me... tried simple or full cores?

im sure, ive had it running on an old 100mhz p1 that ive also got. i just want it running in DosBox incase the 100mhz one blows up
I just tried it.
civ.exe
select vga
select soundblaster
select mouse+keyboard
press esc
press with mouse new world
then intro starts
