Hi,
I've this good, mostly new Socket 775 mobo supporting DDR3. I was expecting that a good ram module would work but looking around it seems those mainboard were not easy to work with all the DDR3 modules.
I've the HyperX Fury HX316C10FW/4 4GB DDR3-1600 dual module for total 8GB I was hoping they'd work but even with the jumper set for FSB 1333, it doesn't boot with them... 🙁
I tried updating the bios but there's only one newer than the original.
Are there any way to make it work or I need to use DDR2 (dual sockets only) or buying others rams?
Thanks

LGA775 boards with DDR3 usually take low density memory modules (e.g. 4GB with chips on both sides of the PCB) because of chipset limitations. DDR3 was new tech back in the C2D era.
Newer memory modules like the HyperX you mentioned will not work, because they likely make 4GB with memory chips on a single side, thus higher density.

I've had this issue myself and the only way to solve it was to get older DDR3 memory sticks with chips on both sides of PCB.

Thanks, I think that's the problem I can see only one side of the ram PCB is populated with modules... too bad, I thought it would have been a nice fast E8600 machine with these rams. 🙁
