I cannot seem to find concrete information online about how to make sure Creative Alchemy is installed and working properly on my Soundblaster Zx and Windows 10.

I have the latest Zx drivers and Alchemy installed but when I launch games like Elite Force 2 or American McGees Alice I get the following message in the dsoundlog file.

"Using Creative Software 3D Library"

I think is also then has something like "Native device not supported" or something like that as well.

Is this normal? How do I get it to use the Native OpenAL?

In Alice for example I have resorted to using DSOAL instead of Alchemy because the sound/positional audio was just pretty poor and not what I was used to before, but it is a hassle to have to turn off my SBx settings and disable Audio Enhancements in Windows Sound Cpl each time I play this game. I remember before on my XFi and Windows 7/8.1 that Alchemy just seemed to work.

As a side question I replaced my XFi Xtreme Music card with the Soundblaster Zx because at the time there were issues with the Xfi and Windows 8.1. I still have the card Xfi however.

Should I keep the Zx in my Win 10 system or replace it with my old Xfi if I am mostly concerned with gaming (both modern/legacy games) and stability?
