Hello there,
I recently bougt a very nice little laptop - Toshiba T4600C (486@33mhz, TFT, 4mb RAM, FDD). The condition of the computer is outstanding.
But it does not power on. After I connect the PSU or insert the battery (works!) it displays "P 80" on the diagnostic display. And nothing happens. I readi in the service manual that this is an "enviromental" error that means the computer is out of operating temperature range (from -20C to +70C) which is not the case at my studio, as you may imagine. The official service manual (http://www.minuszerodegrees.net/manuals/Toshi … ce%20Manual.pdf) is not very helpful. It suggests only to move the machine to warmer/colder place or otherwise... replace the system board.
Could you share some piece of advice on how to diagnose/tackle this problem?
Kind regards,
tom
