I acquired Perstor AT model from a VCF.org member earlier this month. There are two versions of the BIOS for this card namely: AT9-1.03 and AT9-1.07. The AT board purchased housed the BIOS version AT9-1.03. Since I am using this card in an AT&T 6300 XT machine, the seller suggested I might try the XT version of the BIOS for my XT card and apply it to the AT version acquired. I am sorry to say that the application of the XT BIOS will not work; as I tried to map the BIOS to the card and found that it would not display anything or configure. I looked over the card and there is a number of architectural differences between the AT and XT cards.

I found a technical manual offered with the Perstor software version 1.3, that describes the AT model with the AT9-1.03 BIOS requiring two drives to make it work successfully. I found this to be true as I have a single Seagate drive connected to the card. The write-up above that I have with version AT9-1.03 regarding the need for two drives is only applicable to Award BIOS machines 286 or above. However, I am implementing this controller in an AT&T 6300 . The drive boots and after about two minutes it seems to freeze up the communication between the drive and the hardware requiring multiple reboots. The alternative to this is to acquire the BIOS AT9-1.07, which basically makes the card universal to AT & XT machines.

I am now seeking a source where this AT9-1.07 BIOS can be acquired and I am asking the forum members for help here.
