I just got my SC-55, it is connected with the 15 pin joystick port.
It works in windows with the default win95 media player with mid files.
However doesn't work in windows when playing a DOS game like Duke3d.
It does work when I start in DOS and play duke 3d.
(When I choose sound canvas or general midi in duke setup while using windows, no sound comes out)
External MIDI port is chosen in the multimedia properties of the control panel.
I've tried it with nothing added to the autoexec.bat for midi and with this line:
SET MIDI=SYNTH:2 MAP:G MODE:1
Same results both ways.
